Furniture Assembly and Dismantling in JVC

Furniture assembly in JVC is usually part of a move, but it is also a job on its own. Wardrobes, beds and tables often have to be taken apart to get out of an apartment or down a staircase, and then put back together at the other end, level and solid. New furniture delivered in boxes also needs building. We connect you with a vetted local crew that does both.

Dismantling for the move

In many JVC buildings the service lift is the limiting factor. A king-size bed frame, a three-door wardrobe or a large corner desk rarely fits in one piece, and forcing it damages both the furniture and the lift. The crew takes these items apart, bags and labels the screws and fittings for each piece, and wraps the panels so they do not scratch in the truck.

Villas have their own problem: staircases with tight turns and low ceilings. Items that went up in pieces during a previous move have to come down the same way.

Reassembly at the new home

At the new address, the crew rebuilds the furniture in the rooms you choose, checks that drawers and doors run properly and levels the pieces on uneven floors. Tall wardrobes and bookcases can be fixed to the wall where the wall and the building rules allow it, which is worth doing in homes with children.

New furniture

If you are buying new furniture for the new place, having it delivered after the move and assembled in one visit is often the easiest option. The crew removes the packaging when they are done. Tell them the brand and model in advance so they can estimate the time.
